About The Position

Achieve is seeking a Social Content Creator to shoot, edit, and produce short-form video content for Achieve and Freedom Debt Relief. This is a hands-on production role requiring the ability to create engaging content that stops the scroll in the competitive personal finance and debt verticals. The role involves being both behind the camera and on-camera, hosting explainers, reacting to trends, and representing the brands. The mission is to destigmatize debt and help people achieve financial stability. The Social Content Creator will report to the Head of Social and collaborate with the Video Producer and Social teams to develop monthly content plans. Responsibilities include working with external creator content, building a UGC video asset library, and producing reactive content quickly. A portfolio is required for this role.

Requirements

• 3+ years producing short-form video for brand, agency, publisher, or creator channels.
• A portfolio of short-form video work personally shot and edited (required).
• Proficiency in shooting, including owning a camera, lighting a scene, and capturing clean audio without an external crew.
• Proficiency in editing, fluent in a pro editor (Premiere or Final Cut) and native in CapCut, Kapwing, Filmora, etc.
• Demonstrated scroll-stopping work with real performance metrics (retention, completion, saves, shares).
• Fluency with trend cycles, sound libraries, and platform-specific conventions.
• On-camera presence, comfortable hosting and appearing in content regularly.
• Prior on-camera experience in brand, creator, broadcast, or similar settings (required).
• Ability to direct other on-camera talent and shift between two distinct brand voices.

Nice To Haves

• Experience producing recurring episodic series.
• Regulated-industry experience in financial services, healthcare, insurance, or legal.
• Motion graphics work in After Effects.
• Own POV on the future of the personal finance creator space.

Responsibilities

• Show up on camera as a brand representative, hosting segments, delivering explainers, reacting to trends, and appearing regularly in content for both Achieve and FDR.
• Shoot original video content for both brands, including on-location, in-studio, remote, and self-shot production, owning the camera, lighting, and audio setup.
• Edit short-form vertical video for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts, utilizing Premiere or Final Cut and CapCut, and handling motion graphics, sound design, captions, and text overlays.
• Produce content end to end, covering concept, script, shot list, shoot, edit, export, and delivery.
• Create content that performs, focusing on retention, completion, saves, and shares, and be able to discuss the strategy and results of specific pieces.
• Direct on-camera talent, including employees, executives, and external creators, to pull natural performances.
• Build the monthly social video content plan alongside the Video Producer and Social teams, bringing production-level thinking to the planning cycle.
• Build a UGC video asset library with the Video Producer, shooting and organizing UGC-style video assets for the Social team's use.
• Produce and test edits from external creator content, cutting footage into platform-native edits and building variations for testing.
• Turn work around fast for reactive content on tight cycles, delivering a ready-to-publish video within 24 hours or less.
