About The Position

The Social Content Creator is a creative professional specialized in developing ideas and native content for social media — combining conceptualization, production, editing, and deep platform knowledge to transform a brand's objectives into content that is relevant, entertaining, and culturally timely. This role lives at the intersection of creative thinking and hands-on production. The Social Content Creator can take their own photos and videos, shoot content with talent or creators, and collaborate with photographers, directors, and production teams when the project demands it. They edit audiovisual pieces — incorporating music, captions, transitions, effects, and platform-native formats — and write scripts, captions, hooks, and calls to action that make content land. A great Social Content Creator doesn't just execute posts. They think in concepts, understand digital culture, generate conversation, and use content performance to learn, experiment, and continuously improve. This is a role for someone who is equally at home behind a camera, in an editing timeline, and in a creative ideation session — and who brings genuine curiosity about what makes content work on each platform.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent practical experience in Digital Media, Audiovisual Production, Communications, Advertising, Graphic Design, or a related creative field.
  • 2–4 years of professional experience creating social media content across major platforms — with a strong reel or portfolio demonstrating production range, platform fluency, and creative quality.
  • Demonstrated hands-on production experience: shooting, directing, and editing video and photo content for social media formats.
  • Experience working within content calendars and integrated campaigns, collaborating with strategy, account, and design teams.
  • Video shooting — mobile and/or professional camera; understanding of framing, lighting, and audio for social formats.
  • Video editing — CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent; proficiency in pacing, transitions, sound design, captioning, and effects.
  • Photo capture and basic retouching — Lightroom, Photoshop, or equivalent.
  • Motion graphics and visual effects basics — After Effects or platform-native tools.
  • Asset management — organized file naming, versioning, and delivery across multiple brands and campaigns.
  • Deep understanding of platform-native content formats, algorithm behavior, and audience dynamics on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X.
  • Strong writing for social — hooks, captions, scripts, and CTAs that are platform-appropriate and engagement-driven.
  • Cultural fluency — ability to identify relevant trends, memes, and conversations and translate them into brand opportunities.
  • Familiarity with social analytics tools to track content performance and inform creative decisions.
  • Awareness of content accessibility best practices — captions, alt text, and inclusive content production.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in brand-side or agency content creation preferred; experience managing multiple brands simultaneously is a plus.
  • Comfortable on-camera and/or directing talent in live, semi-live, and event environments.
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English — ability to create and adapt content naturally for both languages.
  • Experience in influencer collaboration — briefing, directing, and coordinating content with external creators.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted content tools for ideation, editing, or production optimization.
  • Experience with live streaming, real-time content capture, and event coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Concept original, platform-native content formats, series, and recurring formats tailored to each brand's voice and audience.
  • Develop creative ideas that go beyond brief execution — bringing proactive concepts, trend-driven proposals, and reactive content opportunities to the team.
  • Identify cultural conversations, trending moments, and platform behaviors worth capitalizing on for assigned brands.
  • Contribute actively to brainstorming sessions, campaign kickoffs, and creative development processes.
  • Propose and develop always-on content series and recurring formats that build audience habits over time.
  • Shoot original photo and video content independently — on mobile or professional camera — for social-first formats including Reels, TikToks, Stories, carousels, and static content.
  • Direct and capture content with on-screen talent, brand representatives, or content creators as needed.
  • Collaborate with photographers, videographers, and production teams when project scope requires it — contributing creative direction and platform context.
  • Manage pre-production logistics: location scouting, prop sourcing, talent coordination, and shoot planning.
  • Adapt quickly in live, semi-live, and event environments to capture real-time content opportunities.
  • Edit video and photo content end-to-end — cutting, pacing, color grading, sound design, music selection, caption styling, transitions, and platform-native effects.
  • Apply platform-specific editing conventions — understanding that a TikTok edit, a Reel, and a YouTube Short each have distinct language, pacing, and format requirements.
  • Work in CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, or equivalent tools to produce polished, publish-ready assets.
  • Manage asset files, version control, and delivery organization across multiple brands and campaigns.
  • Write scripts, hooks, captions, CTAs, and on-screen text that are platform-native, brand-consistent, and optimized for engagement.
  • Develop content briefs and creative rationale for shoots, series, and campaign activations.
  • Adapt tone, register, and language fluidly across different brand voices and platform contexts — without losing personality or effectiveness.
  • Write in both Spanish and English, adapting content naturally for bilingual and bicultural audiences.
  • Monitor social trends, platform algorithm changes, new features, and emerging formats — translating observations into actionable content recommendations.
  • Analyze content performance data to understand what is working, what isn't, and why — using insights to iterate and improve continuously.
  • Stay ahead of platform-native content conventions: hooks, pacing, aspect ratios, sounds, thumbnails, and posting mechanics per channel.
  • Share platform learnings and trend observations with the broader creative and strategy teams proactively.
  • Partner with the Sr. Content Manager, Brand Managers, and Strategy teams to ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, campaign objectives, and audience insights.
  • Present content concepts and creative rationale in internal and client-facing meetings — acting as a confident creative voice for the work.

  • Work with Paid Media teams to ensure organic content is structured for amplification when required.
  • Develop and deliver platform-native content for assigned brands — from concept through capture, edit, and final delivery — meeting brief, deadline, and quality standards consistently.
  • Shoot original photo and video content independently or in collaboration with production teams.
  • Edit all assigned audiovisual content to publish-ready standard, applying platform-specific conventions throughout.
  • Manage multiple content assignments across different brands, formats, and deadlines simultaneously without compromising creative quality.
  • Bring proactive content ideas, trend observations, and reactive opportunities to the team on a regular basis.
  • Contribute to content calendar planning, campaign concepting, and always-on content frameworks.
  • Use performance data to continuously refine content approaches, formats, and creative decisions.
  • Attend and contribute to creative kickoffs, team brainstorms, and campaign development sessions.
  • Present and defend creative work in client-facing and internal review sessions.
  • Coordinate with Brand Managers, Strategy, Design, and Community Management teams to ensure cohesive execution across all touchpoints.
  • Maintain organized asset files, project documentation, and content records for all assigned accounts.
