The Women & Gender Equity Network (WGEN) educates the McMaster community to create a campus free from prejudice and discrimination based on gender expression and/or gender identity. WGEN supports survivors of gender-based discrimination, sexual assault, and similar forms of violence. WGEN builds relationships within the McMaster community by providing information, resources, programming, and on-campus advocacy regarding gender-based oppressions. The Social and Political Advocacy Executive specifically develops educational workshops and campaigns to raise awareness and promote positive change concerning social and political issues relevant to women, trans and gender non-conforming students, gender-based violence, and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women within the McMaster community.
