About The Position

Ready to hit the pitch? We are looking for energetic, soccer-loving individuals to join our team for a high-octane week of summer camp! If you have a passion for the game and love working with kids, this is your chance to make an impact. Here at the University of Maine at Farmington (UMF) we are looking for energetic and dedicated Soccer Camp Coaches to join our team! Program runs June 22, 2026 – June 26, 2026; Full-Day programs are 7 hours per day. Salary for these positions is commensurate with experience and will range from $265 - $800/week.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Students currently enrolled in high school are eligible to apply for the half-day program (must have appropriate work permit as applicable).
  • A background in playing soccer at the high school level or above or experience working with youth in an athletic camp setting or has served as a coach.
  • Extensive knowledge of soccer activities specifically designed for children ages 5–15.
  • The ability to work seamlessly as a team member while also taking independent initiative.
  • Clear communication with co-workers and supervisors regarding program needs, challenges, and successes.
  • Acting as a mature representative of UMF when interacting with the general public.
  • The ability to establish effective working relationships with staff, participants, and the public.
  • A constant willingness to participate in all areas of the program with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and supervise soccer activities and events for campers.
  • Assist with the setup and implementation of various sport activities throughout the week.
  • Take responsibility for organized camper check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Identify and respond to potential hazards, report all emergencies or injuries to the director, and follow campus Emergency Action Plans (EAP).
  • Keep the program environment safe, clean, and positive for every participant.
