About The Position

The Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator is responsible for monitoring the security and safety of the members, visitors, and staff on SSFCU’s properties. Assists Analysts in routine and emergency calls from employees and/or company locations. Monitors and maintains the operational integrity of the enterprise access control and video systems. Delivers solutions and resolves issues of small to moderate scale of complexity. Monitors enterprise access control systems including support for localized users, software configuration, verification of door function, door position switches, and request to enter/exit and card readers inventory control. Updates and maintains security and monitoring related activity logs. Properly records updates as well as preventative and as needed maintenance on alarms and more. Prepares organized, accurate and concise verbal and written communications. Exhibits a calm sense of urgency during problem analysis. Seeks guidance from analysts on untrained or inexperienced incidents. Provides professional and courteous service to SSFCU members and employees through interactions at all sites. Follows up to ensure satisfactory resolution. Completes any other job related duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Purpose, and abide by our Organization's Values.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one (1) years of security related work experience including law enforcement dispatch center or other fast-paced, high stress environment with the requirement to resolve multiple interruption-driven priorities simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with security software platforms.
  • Must remain onsite or work extended hours during natural disasters and unusual occurrences on campus/sites.
  • Computer software proficiency including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; read and write detailed security reports.
  • Work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and provide seven day a week twenty-four hour a day on call support.
  • Local distance travel may be required for business purposes occasionally.
  • Valid driver's license, a good driving record, and insurability.
  • Lift 25 lbs. without assistance from either lifting equipment.
