The Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator position is responsible for using best practices for communicating information surrounding incidents to leadership as appropriate. The SOC Operator will monitor cameras and alarms, dispatch associated calls via telephone and radio, operate access control technology, and provide general assistance to both employees and guests. This role requires problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail. The successful candidate will monitor alarms, surveillance cameras, access control systems, and duress alerts, using security monitoring tools to identify and assess potential threats and risks. They will coordinate responses to emergencies, maintain accurate records, handle sensitive information with discretion, and conduct video investigations. The role also involves monitoring SOC systems, coordinating on-site security responses, tracking severe weather, monitoring nearby emergency incidents, maintaining awareness of civil disturbances, and managing employee security requests.
