Peraton is seeking to hire a Senior SOC Operations Analyst position with its' Federal Strategic Cyber programs. This role is located in Warrenton, VA. The position involves managing incident triage and coordination with analysis and detection sections to identify and analyze technology and cyber impacts to IT assets and network infrastructure (LAN/WAN). The analyst will apply security measures and ensure proper incident management and coordination. A key responsibility includes directing continuity of operations for emergency relocation of 24x7x365 operations, ensuring uninterrupted telecommunications, computer systems, cybersecurity, and networks. The role also involves organizing, supporting, and managing containment, investigation, and remediation efforts for incidents, as well as performing quality assurance of service desk actions and Remedy ticket submissions. The analyst will monitor, respond to, and catalog SOC and SIM emails, and submit Remedy tickets to prevent backlogs in the triage console. Additionally, the position supports incident response engagements, partnering with other teams to maintain an understanding of threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits affecting client networks and assets. The analyst will monitor and review multiple data sources, including intelligence, media, and law enforcement reporting, to identify cybersecurity incidents, threats, and vulnerabilities. Finally, the role requires providing classified and unclassified cyber risk briefings and activity updates to civilian government agencies and community stakeholders, and may involve coordination with external organizations, authorities, and senior leadership.
