About The Position

The Division of Pediatric Rheumatology serves the children of North Carolina in the diagnosis and treatment of complex rheumatic diseases affecting the joints, muscles, bones, or organs. The division drives impactful research through leadership in major clinical trials, large multicenter registry studies, and translational projects that advance care for children with complex rheumatic diseases. Faculty actively contribute to nationally recognized efforts such as Phase 3 therapeutic studies and the CARRA Registry, while securing competitive grants that support biospecimen collection, data analysis, and innovative treatment approaches. The Social Clinical Research Assistant will support Dr. Eve Wu’s ongoing translational research projects focused on complement activation and ANCA vasculitis. Responsibilities will include research data management and organization, maintenance of study records and databases, assistance with sample collection and tracking, and support for translational research assays. Experimental duties may include basic molecular or immunologic laboratory techniques, sample processing, assay preparation, and assistance with data collection and analysis.
