SNOWSPORTS SNOWBOARD INSTRUCTOR CERTIFIED
About The Position
Provide a quality learning experience for students of all abilities to learn to snowboard and safely enjoy the mountain environment. Teach lessons in a positive, safe, fun, and professional manner. Demonstrate contemporary and appropriate snowboarding skills to children and adults. Convey knowledge of AASI methodology and technology to students, understanding the general concepts of the Learning Connection to a depth applicable to teaching/ certification level. Provide area and community information to guests. Accurately maintain timely and legible documentation for teaching hours, attendance cards, progress cards, incident and risk management information and other documentation as directed by management. Attend required meetings and training seminars. Work collaboratively with fellow employees and independently with groups of students. Maintain a clean and orderly personal space in the locker room.
Requirements
- Current certification from AASI or International Equivalent Required
- The ability to snowboard from assigned stations to the base area while demonstrating maneuvers to students throughout the duration of a lesson for up to 6 hours per day.
- Experience providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to communicate clear instructions and safety information to students.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to understand and communicate in English with adequate proficiency to follow directions from supervisor, read and understand safety guidelines and directions to prevent accidents or injuries from occurring, and effectively communicate with visitors and staff.
