About The Position

The Snowmaker carries out duties assigned by the Snowmaking Manager and Supervisors, including setting up and taking down equipment, maintaining and repairing equipment, and reporting issues to the on-duty supervisor. The position involves coordinating with the day or night snowmaking supervisor and Snowmaking Manager to support snow production and maintain snowmaking operations. Snowmakers are expected to follow safety procedures, maintain an organized work environment, and adapt to changing business and team needs. The role requires a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, and long hours as necessary.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Follow RMR rules, procedures, and policies.
Follow instructions from the Snowmaking Manager, Supervisors, and Mountain Operations Manager.
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
Must be able to work in various positions, including sitting, crouching, standing, or lying down.
Must be able to work in adverse outdoor environments.
Must be able to work without supervision.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, and long hours as necessary.

Nice To Haves

Any snowmaking experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Move and set up snowmaking equipment.
Communicate with the Snowmaking Manager and Supervisor to support production of the best snow quality.
Operate the pump house.
Maintain an inventory of snowmaking equipment.
Communicate with the Snowmaking Supervisor and Manager.
Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety rules and procedures.
Assist with other projects or duties as assigned.
Report issues directly to the on-duty supervisor.
Set up and take down equipment and perform equipment maintenance and repairs.
