SNOWFLAKE ADMINISTRATOR
About The Position
This role focuses on the administration and optimization of the Snowflake cloud data platform. The administrator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and documenting operational aspects, including cost monitoring, user security auditing, and automation for production deployments and general administration tasks like managing accounts, databases, and access roles. The position also involves implementing data sharing and replication, creating utilization and capacity plans, optimizing query performance, identifying system bottlenecks, designing data encryption/decryption/masking policies, and working with Snowflake on Azure and AWS, including GitHub integration.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a Snowflake Server Administrator.
Responsibilities
- Design, optimize, document, and implement the operational aspects in supporting the snowflake cloud data platform.
- Cost monitoring and optimizations.
- User security auditing.
- Implement/support automation for production deployment in Snowflake.
- Implement Snowflake standards and methodologies for DB security – both infrastructure and app level.
- Implement/support automation for administering Snowflake - Accounts/Databases and access roles.
- Implement data sharing /replication – cross cloud/cross region for internal/external clients.
- Create Snowflake utilization and capacity plan.
- Propose and implement DB / Snowflake query performance optimizations.
- Identify system(s) bottlenecks and recommend solutions.
- Design/Implement data encryption/decryption/masking policies to protect PII/PCI data.
- Work as admin on Snowflake on Azure, AWS i.e., Configuration, Data migration and security.
- Git hub integration with snowflake and load data.
