About The Position

DeAngelo Contracting Services is hiring on-call Snow Supervisors to lead snow and ice removal operations during winter weather events. This seasonal role is active only when snow or ice events occur, with work needed depending on winter weather events determined by VDOT. Supervisors oversee snowplow operators and laborers, help keep roads safe, and may operate equipment when needed. Out-of-town travel may be required; paid travel time, hotel, and per diem are provided. The position pays $35 or more per hour, with overtime opportunities during extended snow events or travel. An 8-hour in-person snow training session is required before the season starts.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, with no serious violations or multiple accidents within the past five years.
• Must pass a DOT drug screen and motor vehicle record review.
• Must be willing to travel to snow locations and stay for the duration of the event.
• Must attend an 8-hour in-person snow training session before the season starts.
• At least two years of snow removal experience.

Nice To Haves

• Valid CDL Class A or B.
• Leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct snowplow crews during snow and ice events.
• Monitor weather conditions and help plan response efforts.
• Assign routes and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Operate snowplow trucks or other equipment when needed.
• Oversee salt and brine applications and equipment inspections.
• Maintain basic reports and ensure safety compliance.
