About The Position
Foot Soldiers LLC is hiring seasonal snow removal workers and drivers in Brooklyn, New York, for the 2026–2027 winter season. The company has served Brooklyn for over 20 years. This temporary seasonal W-2 position offers hourly pay of $25 to $37, depending on assigned duties, with the possibility of additional earnings through qualifying performance and heavy-snow bonuses and eligible customer tips. Higher earnings are possible but are not guaranteed. Work depends on the weather and may take place before, during, or after snowstorms. Some storms last several days. Hours are not guaranteed, and employees are paid for all hours worked, including required training; overtime is paid when required by law. Workers receive training on company equipment, safety rules, and work procedures. Employees may have opportunities to return for future winter seasons.
Requirements
- Have paid snow-shoveling experience from at least one previous winter season.
- Be dependable and ready to work when scheduled.
- Be able to perform physical work outdoors in cold weather.
- Have a smartphone with an active voice and data plan to receive calls, messages, and job assignments.
- Be available for snowstorms, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Follow directions and work well with others.
- Drivers must have a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Apply calcium chloride before snowstorms.
- Shovel sidewalks, stairs, and walkways.
- Treat ice after snowstorms.
- Prepare, load, clean, and organize equipment.
- Help keep properties clear during storms that may last several days.
- Take pictures of completed jobs using a phone.
- Follow instructions and work safely.
- Drivers transport workers and equipment between properties.
