About The Position

This role involves the proficient and safe operation of heavy machinery, including front-end loaders and Snowcats, to clear snow from parking lots and ensure guest and employee safety. The supervisor will also be responsible for inspecting equipment, maintaining situational awareness, using SNOWsat for equipment management, reporting mechanical issues, adhering to operational guidelines, and providing feedback and correction to other operators. The position requires extensive driving experience in severe snowy and icy conditions on mountainous roads and the ability to work under pressure.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Extensive driving experience in severe snowy and icy conditions on mountainous roads, required.
  • Experienced in the safe and efficient operation of front-end loaders with buckets and blades, as well as Snowcats.
  • Proficient in English, required.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities required.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work independently in a professional manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Proficient and safe operation of front-end loaders equipped with buckets and blades, as well as Snowcats, with a strong emphasis on impeccable driving habits.
  • Use of front-end loaders to clear all parking lots of snow to prepare for the arrival of guests and employees.
  • Regular inspection of loaders to ensure that everything is working properly.
  • Maintain keen situational awareness both on highways and in parking areas, demonstrating swift and effective responsiveness in unpredictable situations.
  • Use SNOWsat to check equipment in and out.
  • Report any suspicious mechanical issues or abnormal performance to the Vehicle Maintenance department via SNOWsat.
  • Adhere to the guidelines, standards, and patterns of the Snow Removal Operation as presented by the Snow Removal Manager.
  • Provide constructive criticism and feedback to other operators as needed.
  • Identify potential risks and unsafe practices that other operators could possibly be engaging in and to point out and correct them as needed.
  • Shovel any necessary areas to ensure customer and staff safety.
  • Perform any other duties that may contribute to the cleanliness, orderliness and overall efficiency of the entire operations and all the tasks contained therein.
