About The Position

The Snow Removal Operator is responsible for the operation of Caterpillar front end loaders or skid steers used for the purpose of removing snow and preparing parking operations for employees and guests. This role requires proficient and safe operation of front-end loaders equipped with buckets and blades, as well as Snowcats, with a strong emphasis on impeccable driving habits. The operator will use front-end loaders to clear all parking lots of snow to prepare for the arrival of guests and employees. Regular inspection of loaders to ensure proper working condition is essential. The role also demands keen situational awareness on highways and in parking areas, with swift and effective responsiveness in unpredictable situations. Use of SNOWsat for equipment check-in/out and reporting mechanical issues is required. Maintenance of fluid levels, tire pressure, lights, signals, and safety equipment is also part of the duties. Shoveling necessary areas to ensure customer and staff safety is also required.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Must have basic experience in operating front loaders.
  • Excellent English speaking skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritize tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Driving experience in extremely snowy and icy conditions on mountain roads preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Proficient and safe operation of front-end loaders equipped with buckets and blades, as well as Snowcats, with a strong emphasis on impeccable driving habits.
  • Use of front-end loaders to clear all parking lots of snow to prepare for the arrival of guests and employees.
  • Regular inspection of loaders to ensure that everything is working properly.
  • Maintain keen situational awareness both on highways and in parking areas, demonstrating swift and effective responsiveness in unpredictable situations.
  • Use SNOWsat to check equipment in and out.
  • Report any suspicious mechanical issues or abnormal performance to the Vehicle Maintenance department via SNOWsat.
  • Maintenance of fluid levels, tire pressure, interior and exterior lights, and signals and safety equipment of the loader.
  • Shovel any necessary areas to ensure customer and staff safety.
