About The Position

This non-exempt position is responsible for performing a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks involving snow plowing, snow shoveling, salt spreading, and deicing. The position is weather dependent. The employee will safely and efficiently operate snow removal equipment, including plows, blowers, and shovels, and utilize hand tools and power tools for snow removal tasks as needed. Responsibilities include monitoring weather conditions and responding promptly to snow and ice events, ensuring high-quality service by clearing driveways, sidewalks, and parking lots of snow and ice. The role also involves maintaining tools and equipment to ensure safety, modeling PPE usage, attending safety meetings, and complying with all company policies, procedures, and standards. Excellent service must be provided to clients, work-site partners, and Akehurst staff in a courteous and efficient manner.

• Follows all chemical procedures (e.g., storing, applying, transporting), SDS information, and label instructions; complies with emergency reporting procedures; can define and identify hazardous substances.
• Operates light snow equipment (e.g., snow blowers, plow trucks, etc.) and demanding equipment properly and safely.
• Treats others with respect, collaboration, and support in such a way that work relationships are improved and morale is increased; communicates well with others.
• Sign the Confidentiality, Non-disclosure, and Non-solicitation Agreement prior to their first day on the job.
• Reputation for honesty and trustworthiness.
• Background investigation and/or drug test may be required.
