About The Position
Kenney Landscaping & Commercial Snow in Rochester, MI is looking for a hardworking and reliable Snow Removal Crew Member to join our team! This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you'll play a key part in keeping our commercial clients' properties safe and clear all winter long. If you love working outdoors and don't mind the cold, this is the opportunity for you! Employees will be paid a minimum of 5 hours for each snow event/call-in, even if the actual work time is less than 5 hours.
Requirements
- Previous snow removal or landscaping experience preferred but not required
- Ability to operate snow removal equipment and hand tools
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work early morning, overnight, and on-call shifts during storm events
- Physically capable of shoveling and working in cold, winter conditions for extended periods
- Dependable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Ability to follow directions and work safely on commercial job sites
Responsibilities
- Operate snow removal equipment including plows, snow blowers, and salt spreaders
- Manually shovel and clear snow from walkways, entrances, and parking lots
- Apply ice melt and de-icing materials to prevent hazardous conditions
- Work efficiently as part of a crew to service multiple commercial properties per shift
- Perform pre- and post-shift equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Respond to on-call and overnight shifts during and after winter storm events
- Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all job sites
