About The Position

As a Snow Groomer Operator at Tenney Resort & Recreation LLC, you will help ensure guests have an exceptional and safe winter sports experience. You will maintain and prepare slopes and trails to create optimal skiing and snowboarding conditions. The role involves operating grooming equipment, assessing terrain, supporting snowmaking, complying with safety procedures, maintaining equipment, coordinating with resort staff, and minimizing environmental impacts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience operating snow grooming equipment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate heavy machinery safely.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in cold, outdoor conditions for extended periods.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate snow grooming equipment, including snowcats and snow groomers, to smooth and shape ski slopes and trails.
• Monitor and assess slope conditions to ensure they are safe and enjoyable for guests; perform routine maintenance and repairs as necessary.
• Collaborate with the snowmaking team to distribute snow evenly across slopes and optimize coverage and quality.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures, mark hazards, and report incidents or issues.
• Perform routine equipment checks, maintenance, and minor repairs; report major equipment issues.
• Communicate with fellow groomer operators, ski patrol, and other resort staff to coordinate slope maintenance activities.
• Follow environmental regulations and guidelines and take measures to minimize environmental impact during grooming operations.
