SMT Operator
About The Position
The SMT Operator is responsible for operating Surface Mount Technology (SMT) assembly equipment in a safe, efficient, and productive manner while maintaining the highest standards of quality. This position ensures production objectives are achieved through proper equipment operation, adherence to established processes, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Working within the parameters of the Quality Management (QM) System, the role supports Variosystems' quality initiatives, operational excellence, and company growth objectives by consistently delivering high-quality products that meet customer and organizational requirements.
Requirements
- 1 year of general machine operator experience
- Detail-oriented
Responsibilities
- Operating SMT equipment during normal production runs.
- Ensuring the highest quality of the paste printing, placement, and reflow process.
- Ensure production tracking documents (Snapshot Forms) are completed properly.
- Complying with all SMT procedures.
- Accurate board counting/production tracking.
- Ensuring AOI 30-minute sample procedure is followed in a timely fashion.
- Monitor component fallout/contact technician if needed.
- Birthing product serial numbers in Aegis system.
- Perform hand placement as needed.
- Assist with line changeovers as needed.
- Assist with inspection as needed.
- Assist with line PMs as needed.
- Maintain material traceability as required.
