About The Position

SMT Operators handle equipment used to develop circuits with surface mount technology (components are mounted directly on circuit boards). This role involves small scale assembly of internal components and wirings, inspection of products, and regular use of computers. The position is temp-to-full-time.

Requirements

• Good eye-hand coordination
• The ability to perform repetitive actions
• Computer Competences
• The ability to stand for 8+ hours a day
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be willing to submit to a national background check.

Responsibilities

• Handle equipment used to develop circuits with surface mount technology.
• Perform small scale assembly of internal components and wirings.
• Inspect products.
• Perform the hand place process of SMT components according to customer specifications.
• Execute the inspection of electrical assemblies to assure they fulfill the specifications of quality policy and industry standards.
• Execute the hand placement and verification of the components with the support of the BOM to guarantee acceptable quality standards.
• Interpret datasheets and assembly documentation to determine polarity information.
• Perform pre-reflow and post-reflow inspections on SMT Components according to the BOM and assembly documentation.
• Report all part errors, discrepancies, and questions into the database.
