About The Position

Science Exchange delivers innovative SaaS solutions tailored for pharmaceutical and biotech life sciences companies. Our platform empowers research teams and suppliers to forge stronger partnerships, streamline collaboration, and accelerate scientific breakthroughs. By saving time, reducing costs, and increasing speed to market, our software is transforming the way life sciences organizations advance critical research. We're seeking a driven SMB Account Executive to join our growing sales team and own the full sales cycle for small and mid-sized life sciences companies.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of full-cycle sales experience, preferably in SaaS
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed quota in an SMB or mid-market sales environment.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce for pipeline management, forecasting, and activity tracking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deliver compelling presentations and build rapport with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing multiple opportunities simultaneously in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, life sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in life sciences or selling to pharma/biotech organizations is a strong plus.
  • Experience selling SaaS solutions into pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences organizations.
  • Familiarity with the R&D and procurement processes within life sciences companies.
  • Experience working with SDR teams and marketing to develop and execute account-based strategies.
  • Comfort navigating complex buying processes and engaging multiple stakeholders within a single account.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage a pipeline of SMB accounts, driving opportunities from initial contact through close using Salesforce.
  • Lead discovery calls, product demonstrations, proposals, and contract negotiations tailored to the needs of pharmaceutical and biotech organizations.
  • Partner with SDRs and independently prospect into target accounts to build and maintain a healthy pipeline aligned with our ideal customer profile (ICP).
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including research directors, procurement leaders, and R&D teams to understand their challenges and align our platform to their needs.
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, pre-sales, and customer success teams to ensure a seamless buyer experience and smooth handoff post-close.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activity, pipeline stages, and forecasting in Salesforce.
  • Stay current on trends, challenges, and innovations in the pharmaceutical and biotech life sciences industry to effectively position Science Exchange's value proposition.
