About The Position

AWS Global Sales drives adoption of the AWS cloud worldwide, enabling customers of all sizes to innovate and expand in the cloud. This team empowers highly innovative and fast-paced Small and Medium (SMB) business customers in US-West by understanding their unique challenges and crafting innovative solutions to accelerate their success. The Customer Solutions Manager (CSM) helps SMB customers realize sustained business value by accelerating their digital transformation journey, assisting them in designing and rapidly executing strategic migrations to the AWS cloud and building modern, cloud-native solutions. The CSM works backwards from customer objectives, utilizes AWS best practices, and designs and executes an end-to-end frictionless cloud adoption experience. As a CSM, the individual is a thought leader with a strategic business mindset, using technical acumen, program management, organizational change management, and communication skills to problem-solve, challenge the status quo, and align multidisciplinary teams including sales, solution architecture, enterprise support, and AWS partners. The role involves earning trust across the customer’s organization, identifying strategic opportunities, uncovering AI use cases, establishing roadmaps and actionable program plans, capturing success criteria, orchestrating advanced technical architectures, and establishing programmatic governance. The CSM owns and drives execution excellence for the end-to-end customer cloud journey (technical, operational, organizational, and educational) spanning IT teams, executives, and business units. The ideal candidate has a business outcome mindset, broad technical background, and is a driven problem-solver, paying attention to detail while thinking big on behalf of customers, building repeatable solutions that scale, and is passionate about delivering customer-centric experiences.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of leading large-scale, technical or engineering programs with a proven record of thought leadership, business case development, realizing customer benefits, and successful program completion experience
  • 3+ years of work in enterprise IT, either as a vendor, consultant or have prior experience working with or managing technical programs experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or a related field
  • Travel up to 30% of the time

Nice To Haves

  • AWS or other cloud certification
  • Knowledge of the software development/engineering lifecycle from conception to delivery or IT lifecycle
  • Experience coordinating between project teams and customers to meet unique customer requirements
  • PMP or SCRUM/Agile, SAFe certification

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate excellent customer engagement skills through all levels of an organization including C-Suite
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of existing and developing technologies as it relates to cloud computing, to unlock opportunities for customers
  • Possess a strong background in change management and incorporating organizational change best practices seamlessly into project delivery
  • Accelerate customer adoption through education and engagement
  • Assist customers in identifying use cases for priority adoption of AWS as well as best practice implementations
  • Assist in developing long-term strategic relationships with key accounts
  • Manage time efficiently, meet personal goals, and work effectively with other members of the sales and marketing team
