Responsibilities

  • Own the SMARTnet Contract Portfolio for Assigned Account Managers: Serve as the strategic owner of the SMARTnet renewal practice for an assigned group of ANM Account Managers, taking full accountability for the SMARTnet contract lifecycle across each of their client portfolios. Act as the subject matter expert and primary point of contact for all SMARTnet-related renewal activity within those accounts. Maintain accurate, up-to-date opportunity, contract, and quote information in Salesforce and other internal tools. Manage and prioritize a high-volume portfolio of contracts to ensure no renewal is missed and every client receives a proactive, high-quality experience.
  • Drive a Proactive 90-Day Renewal Motion: Quote all SMARTnet renewals a minimum of 90 days in advance of contract expiration. Hold regular, recurring working sessions with each assigned Account Manager to review upcoming renewals and uncover any account changes, new projects, refreshes, or strategic shifts that could impact the renewal. Pull an updated Cisco Installed Base Report (IBR) for each renewal cycle, scrub and clean the data, and reconcile it against current contracts to ensure accuracy. Build out the initial renewal quote based on the cleaned IBR and the latest account intelligence gathered from the Account Manager. Follow up with Account Managers and clients at the 60- and 30-day marks, and manage each renewal through to activation on or before the expiration date.
  • Lead Client-Facing Renewal Reviews and Post-Sales Contract Administration: Meet directly with clients (alongside the Account Manager when appropriate) to walk through the IBR and renewal quote in detail. Gather client feedback on coverage needs, additions, removals, decommissioned assets, and budget considerations. Make adjustments to the quote based on client input, re-present as needed, and drive the client to a completed, on-time renewal. Perform ongoing post-sales contract administration for client SMARTnet and Cisco CX Enterprise Agreement (CXEA) contracts, including associating users to contracts and processing mid-cycle MACDs (moves, adds, changes, and deletes).
  • Stay Current on Cisco SMARTnet and Lifecycle Programs: Track and stay informed of changes Cisco is making in the SMARTnet space, including service-level changes, program updates, pricing changes, and EOL/EOS announcements. Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Cisco CX Enterprise Agreements (EAs), including how they intersect with traditional SMARTnet contracts and when an EA may be a better fit for a client. Communicate relevant Cisco changes to Account Managers and clients in a way that informs renewal strategy and protects the client experience.
  • Cross-Train and Support the Cisco Subscription Renewals Specialist: Cross-train with ANM’s Cisco Subscription Renewals Specialist to build a working knowledge of the subscription renewals process and tools. Provide backup coverage for the Subscription Renewals Specialist during high-volume periods, PTO, or other coverage gaps. Share best practices and process improvements between the two roles to drive consistency and quality across ANM’s Cisco renewals practice.
  • Partner with Client Success Managers on QBRs and Lifecycle Engagement: Work closely with ANM’s Client Success Managers to provide the SMARTnet content, data, and insights needed for client QBRs. Surface renewal posture, contract health, and upcoming renewal events so SMARTnet is consistently represented in strategic client conversations. Align on engagement cadence and client-facing messaging to ensure a seamless, unified ANM experience across the lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the Continuous Improvement of ANM’s Renewals Practice: Help build and refine ANM’s proactive renewal methodology and advise Account Managers on best practices. Partner with internal support teams to develop and improve processes that track, notify, report, and manage renewals with well-defined follow-up. Participate in OEM meetings and contribute to renewal strategy on end-user proposals. Pursue ongoing self-development around Cisco services, products, tools, and renewal programs to continuously increase the efficiency and impact of the team.
