About The Position

SMART Tech (Skilled, Mentored, And Real-World Trained) Truck Mechanic - Diesel Technician - Entry Level Part Time - Must be Current Student in College/Trade School. Clarke Power Services is looking for a S.M.A.R.T Technician to maintain our commitment to safety and customer service. This role involves using smartphone, laptop, and tablet technology to record repairs. The program includes mentorship and hands-on training with experienced mechanics, providing diverse real-world experience in diesel truck repair. Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Diesel Repair Program or possess a strong interest and prior exposure to truck mechanics.

Requirements

• Must be current student at college or technical school.
• Must be able to obtain DOT Med Card.
• Desire and Ability to learn.
• Strong Work Ethic.
• Must be able to Work Independently.
• Standard Tech Owned Tools Required.

• Auto and Preventative Maintenance Techs encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Use smartphone, laptop and tablet technology to record all repairs.
• Work in shop with experienced mentor mechanics.
• Gain a wide range of real-world experience related to diesel truck repair.
• Perform Light & Medium Duty Truck Repair.
• Work Independently.
• Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.
