About The Position

The Smart P&ID (SPID) Support Specialist supports the Hexagon Smart P&ID application in a project environment with regards to the following: User support, Project support, SPID project administration including but not limited to maintenance, customization, integration with other software, software upgrades. Your role System level activities required to support the following software above, this includes activity items such as: Manage application operations, including backups, scheduled tasks, batch services, user access, and internal development support. Support software lifecycle activities such as testing (UAT), certification, change requests, and deployments while coordinating with developers and vendors. Configure, test, and deploy SPID solutions; provide user support and ensure integration with engineering tools (SPF, Smart 3D, Smart Instrumentation, Smart Electrical). Troubleshoot and resolve software, installation, CADD, and hardware issues, coordinating with IT teams and external vendors as needed. Maintain system security, project configurations (borders, identifiers), and engineering tool servers across development and certification environments. Collaborate with developers, engineering teams, and designers to implement enhancements, while also training end users on supported applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or College Diploma specialized in a related technology from an accredited institution and minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Capable of supporting the Engineering applications for which the branch is responsible.
  • Ability to investigate, assess and resolve issues associated with hardware and software problems.
  • Ability to effectively interface with staff, project management team, and internal clients.
  • Knowledgeable with the Intel hardware platform and Windows Operating system.
  • Demonstrate initiative and results-oriented performance.
  • Good verbal, written, organizational and presentation skills.
