About The Position

As a Smart on FHIR Developer, you will join our client in updating their applications. You will be tasked with reviewing the current Smart on FHIR application which is outdated and in need of maintenance. You should be an expert in Java and able to reverse engineer old code to then redeploy according to new protocols and integrations.

Requirements

• Experience utilizing Smart on FHIR standards to build healthcare applications
• Strong experience in the Healthcare space- you know how HL7 works!
• 5 years of experience developing consumer-facing web applications and services
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API protocols and integrations
• Expert knowledge of Java, Java SpringBoot a plus
• Understanding of additional fundamental web technologies: HTTP, SSL, HTML, CSS, and JSON
• Excellent communication skills to convey findings and recommendations to team.
• Experience and understanding of one or more different agile methodologies, including Scrum a plus.

Responsibilities

• Examine old Smart on FHIR applications and update according to new protocols
• Build healthcare applications utilizing updated FHIR standards
• Build APIs that support third-party usage
• Use unit and integration testing to ensure systems meet business need
• Reorganize, restructure, and redeploy in-house Smart on FHIR applications
