About The Position

Master Electric Inc. is a full-service electrical contractor with over 30 years of success in the Las Vegas area. We are seeking a detail-oriented Service and Small Projects Electrical Estimator to join our service and preconstruction team in Las Vegas. You will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates for commercial, industrial, residential, and health-care facility electrical service projects as well as small renovation, and tenant improvement projects. The ideal candidate will analyze project requirements, review blueprints, and project specifications, and provide accurate cost estimates for commercial and residential service projects to ensure competitive and profitable bidding. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project/construction estimating is required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of electrical estimating experience specifically within the commercial, industrial, or residential sectors.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with customers, general contractors, and vendors.
  • Knowledge of current electrical codes (NEC) and fundamental engineering calculations (Ohm’s law, voltage drop, etc.).
  • High proficiency in industry-standard software such as McCormick, Excel, Service Titan, and other similar applications (Accubid, WinEst, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working and executing projects in the field is preferred.
  • ASPE Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or similar credential is preferred but not required.
  • Active Nevada C-2 License is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to perform comprehensive material takeoffs and labor analysis.
  • Develop detailed bid proposals, scopes of work, and value-engineering alternatives to ensure competitive and profitable outcomes.
  • Interface with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing for materials and specialized equipment. As well as coordinating materials orders and deliveries to the job site.
  • Support project managers during the transition from preconstruction to field operations, ensuring a clear understanding of the bid scope and site conditions.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and local job site walkthroughs to verify existing conditions and project requirements.
  • Track requests for proposals, responses, and customer feedback to quantitatively analyze Key Performance Indicators and market conditions in order to optimize bidding.
