About The Position

Seacoast Church is seeking a relational and strategic leader to serve as their Small Groups Pastor at the North Charleston campus. This role is crucial in helping people find God, grow in their faith, discover their purpose, and make a difference by leading small group ministry, supporting weekend services, and building meaningful connections across the campus. The Small Groups Pastor will be instrumental in creating a welcoming, spiritually healthy environment where individuals can take their next step with Jesus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Small Group Ministry, including promoting groups through services, social media, and outreach.
  • Partner with the Central Small Groups Pastor to align with church-wide vision and events.
  • Evaluate and continuously improve small group effectiveness using feedback and participation data.
  • Recruit, train, and develop small group leaders and coaches.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and encouragement to leaders.
  • Build a culture of teamwork, care, and healthy leadership across all small group environments.
  • Follow up with individuals seeking connection and place them into groups.
  • Support leaders in welcoming and integrating new members.
  • Coordinate and participate in Connect Weekends.
  • Assist the Campus Pastor with weekend services and First Wednesday.
  • Build genuine relationships with attendees during services.
  • Help create a welcoming, excellent, and engaging worship experience.
  • Analyze attendance and engagement data to identify growth opportunities and shape ministry strategy.
  • Develop and implement plans to increase small group participation and overall engagement.
  • Support campus initiatives, budget management, and resource stewardship.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings, 1:1s, and all-staff gatherings.
  • Collaborate with campus and central teams to advance shared priorities.
  • Serve wherever needed to help the campus succeed.
  • Provide pastoral care and counseling (if licensed).
  • Assist with weddings, funerals, baptisms, hospital visits, and other ministry moments (if licensed).
