About The Position

We’re looking for a relational and strategic leader to serve as our Small Groups Pastor at our North Charleston campus. In this role, you’ll help people find God, grow in their faith, discover their purpose, and make a difference by leading small group ministry, supporting weekend services, and building meaningful connections across the campus. You’ll be a key part of creating a welcoming, spiritually healthy environment where people can take their next step with Jesus.

  • Strong ability to recruit, develop, and lead volunteer teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

  • Lead Small Group Ministry
  • Connect people into community by promoting groups through services, social media, and outreach
  • Partner with the Central Small Groups Pastor to align with church-wide vision and events
  • Use feedback and participation data to evaluate and continuously improve small group effectiveness
  • Develop and Equip Leaders
  • Recruit, train, and develop small group leaders and coaches equipped to care for members
  • Provide ongoing coaching and encouragement to strengthen leader effectiveness and spiritual growth
  • Build a culture of teamwork, care, and healthy leadership across all small group environments
  • Connect and Care for People
  • Follow up with individuals seeking connection and place them into groups using Ministry Platform
  • Support leaders in welcoming and integrating new members to foster belonging
  • Coordinate and participate in Connect Weekends to ensure every person is seen and included
  • Support Campus and Weekend Experience
  • Assist the Campus Pastor with weekend services and First Wednesday
  • Build genuine relationships with attendees during services
  • Help create a welcoming, excellent, and engaging worship experience
  • Drive Strategy and Execution
  • Analyze attendance and engagement data to identify growth opportunities and shape ministry strategy
  • Develop and implement plans to increase small group participation and overall engagement
  • Support campus initiatives, budget management, and resource stewardship aligned with church goals
  • Be a Strong Team Player
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings, 1:1s, and all-staff gatherings
  • Collaborate with campus and central teams to advance shared priorities
  • Serve wherever needed to help the campus succeed
  • Provide pastoral care and counseling
  • Assist with weddings, funerals, baptisms, hospital visits, and other ministry moments
