About The Position

The Small Fabrication Group Lead will be responsible for assisting, training, and coaching within the small fabrication department. This role involves performing quality inspections to ensure error-free work within their respective area and performing various tasks within the department as deemed necessary by the Director of Operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 10-15 years of relative experience welding in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly
  • Must be physically able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl and climb
  • Must be respirator certified in order to wear a PAPR system for welding
  • Must be able to perform welding in a confined space

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring quality, on-time delivery of fabricated parts within their assigned area
  • Verification that all work orders have been properly transacted
  • Inspection of all parts to ensure quality
  • Interfacing with engineering and other departments as necessary to complete tasks
  • Fostering a culture of safety by proactively identifying and eliminating safety concerns
  • Training and personnel development within their area
  • Properly transacting work orders to capture labor and costs
