About The Position

EarthBalance is a company of employees who have a passion for restoring the natural environment. We use a large variety of small engine tools and equipment that need constant maintenance and repair. At EarthBalance, our small engine techs diagnose, repair, and overhaul small engines used to power pole saws, chainsaws, recreational vehicles, and other related equipment.

Requirements

Minimum 6 months of experience and/or training in small engine repair; or a combination of education and experience.
Experience with general maintenance of off-road vehicles like UTVs and ATVs.
Must have a valid driver's license, a minimum of 3 years of driving experience, and a clean driving record.
Quickly move hands, hands together with arms, or two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
Keep hands steady while moving the arms or while holding arms and hands in one position.
Quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls or a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down.
Regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift or move up to 75 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Experience in automotive and diesel service is a plus.
Acetylene and electric arc welding experience is a plus.
Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and overhaul small engines used to power pole saws, chainsaws, recreational vehicles, and other related equipment.
Ability to work extended hours.
