About The Position
Under limited supervision, the mechanic position performs work of considerable difficulty in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment; performs related work as assigned.
Requirements
- Five years of experience and/or training in vehicle/construction equipment repair and maintenance shop or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident
Nice To Haves
- Experience with welding.
- Experience or formal training mower, backpack blower, chainsaw, weedeater, etc. mechanics
Responsibilities
- Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs small engines.
- Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of equipment.
- Prepares and maintains records and reports.
- Update Fleet Manager on vehicle/equipment status daily.
- Maintain inventory of parts and equipment.
- Notify Fleet Manager of parts needed.
