About The Position

The Hanover is seeking a Small Commercial Sales Manager to join their growing team in East Bay/San Francisco. This is a full-time, exempt role. The primary responsibility is to drive new business flow for small commercial accounts (<$50K) by educating and collaborating with agency staff and communicating the company's risk appetite. The role involves building key agency relationships and partnering with Specialty and Middle Market Underwriters to support growth and retention.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree
3-5 years' Commercial Lines Underwriting and/or Marketing experience preferably with an established carrier.
Well-developed sales and marketing skills; proven track record for developing new business.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn internal Customer & Agency Account Management systems.

Nice To Haves

Professional designation such as CPCU, CIC, etc., is a plus.

Responsibilities

Works with Account Managers to produce small commercial lines new business and drive flow.
Able to bind small accounts in the agent's office if needed.
Works with small commercial lines underwriting team to develop the targeted mix of business.
