The Small Business Loan Collections Analyst is responsible for collecting past due accounts on all SMB/SBA commercial loans, while also controlling delinquency, protecting Northwest assets, mitigating bank losses, and developing customer relations to secure payments. This role involves processing loan modifications, utilizing collections software, identifying and resolving collection issues, ensuring appropriate modifications, extensions, and deferrals, and preparing departmental reports. The analyst will work with SMB/SBA Teams on delinquency and plans, review documentation for data integrity, analyze records of past due accounts, obtain voluntary payment of debt, and advise on related laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. The position requires collecting and negotiating appropriate payment agreements, monitoring payment progress, maximizing skip tracing/collections methods, mitigating losses, verifying collateral, remaining flexible in time and tasks, making appropriate credit judgment decisions, pacifying non-cooperative customers, and recommending improvements to procedures and service enhancements. Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, navigating various software systems for efficiency, and working as part of a team. Safety and Health responsibilities include abiding by the safety and loss prevention program, performing work tasks safely, reporting injuries, and knowing emergency procedures.
