Requirements

  • Intermediate loan documentation knowledge including best practices
  • Basic credit analysis skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 1+ years banking/financial services experience required
  • For this position, federal regulations require Commerce Bank to prepare an investigatory consumer report which will disclose credit history. If you express interest in and are considered for this position, you will be asked to authorize that report.

Responsibilities

  • Contact customers to retain and expand relationships using Consultative Selling approach
  • Execute Credit/Portfolio tasks as required including, but not limited to: contacting customers for updated financial information and loan agreement compliance requirements, complete customer financial reporting requirements and loan covenant/provision compliance administration, and submit company and personal financial statements
  • Facilitate loan closings for Vehicle and Equipment loans
  • Facilitate the resolution of customer maintenance/management tasks within the market, engaging product experts as needed
  • Participates in community and business functions/groups to ensure a positive image for the bank and to establish Centers of Influences (COI’s)
  • Review preliminary credit approval summaries
  • Evaluate appraisal annual review requirements and coordinate service requests
  • Support Specialists with prospecting, cross selling, business development and beginning to structure loans
  • Perform other duties as assigned
