About The Position

Winter-Dent is a 100% employee-owned agency focused on helping individuals and businesses protect what matters most. They are seeking a Small Business Account Manager to manage client relationships, provide excellent customer service, and service commercial accounts. This role involves ongoing client servicing, managing the renewal process, remarketing insurance coverage, and supporting the Select Lines team. The position also requires adherence to the company's core values and a commitment to being a "WD Ambassador."

Requirements

  • Property & Casualty (P&C) license acquired upon hire or to be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • 2+ years of insurance industry experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in client-facing roles with a focus on building and maintaining long-term client relationships strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, build meaningful connections, and calmly de-escalate situations of frustration.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all incoming communication (calls, emails) from clients and companies regarding accounts.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for additional lines of coverage or increased limits.
  • Verify policy and change information, facilitating corrections when necessary.
  • Serve as back-up to other account managers on the Select Lines team.
  • Process cancellation correspondence.
  • Email/mail applicable audits within 24 hours of receipt to insureds and follow-up as set by established audit procedures.
  • Manage incoming mail.
  • Create and send renewal summary to client 90 days prior to renewal date.
  • Review renewal offer from carrier for accuracy and determine if remarketing is needed.
  • Bind renewal per company contract requirements.
  • Complete renewal process, including ID cards, certificates, binders, evidences of insurance, and invoicing.
  • Remarket insurance coverage, including preparing applications, requesting loss runs, and quoting.
  • Ensure all proper documentation and steps are taken in the agency's CRM (Applied EPIC).
  • Support the Select Lines team through challenges, implementations, and capacity constraints.
  • Act as a Global mindset/WD Ambassador.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
