About The Position

Bowhead seeks a Small Arms Instructor to support the Weapons Systems Training Branch at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane. This role requires extensive experience in small arms instruction, strong attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to meet stringent Government qualification and performance requirements. Instructors are permitted no more than two negative evaluations per year, which are reviewed by the Government within thirty days. Negative evaluations must be addressed in weekly reports. Receiving more than two negative evaluations within a year may result in the Government refusing the instructor for continued performance under the contract. This position requires OCONUS travel for up to 6 months or more.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree is required.
  • At least seven (7+) years of work experience.
  • Must be a graduate of a recognized military instructor training school or an equivalent program approved by the Government.
  • Demonstrable experience developing and delivering training programs.
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.
  • US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
