About The Position

This role involves providing training as an instructor/writer for Small Arms/Towed Artillery Repairer (91F). The training includes classroom instruction, discussions, demonstrations, and practical exercises, as well as simulation/virtual training and field exercises. Responsibilities include testing, planning, providing additional and remedial training, and managing course administration. The instructor is expected to follow the Program of Instruction, adhering to task, conditions, and standards. As a subject matter expert, the role also involves participating in the revision of Programs of Instruction, lesson plans, and training support materials to ensure doctrinal accuracy and alignment with current training strategies. Additionally, the role requires maintaining equipment, entering faults, performing PMCS, preparing classrooms and training environments, and conducting/recording academic counseling.

Requirements

  • Completed the Common Faculty Development-Instructor Course (CFDIC), or its equivalent within the last five (5) years and the TRADOC Initial Military Training (IMT) Installation Staff and Contractors Course (ISCC). Refresher training must be completed if outside the five years.
  • Completed Blackboard 101 Instructor Training within 3 years of work and dependent on the course being instructed.
  • Possess the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) and Additional Skills Identifier (ASI) specific technical training for which being hired and have been certified.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in the technical and tactical training experience in the MOS for which they are performing the instruction.
  • Minimum of three years specific experience in teaching, developing or reviewing course materials, training aids, and manuals.
  • Possess knowledge of applicable regulations and doctrine regarding the MOS.
  • Capable of passing all hands-on and written student tests in accordance with the Ordnance School Instructional Management SOP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office computer programs (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Excel).
  • Must be detail oriented and have excellent organization, planning, coordination, and time management skills.
  • Possess effective problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess outstanding communicative skills both verbal and nonverbal.
  • Be able to successfully complete all required training during period of employment.
  • Possess small arms technical and tactical experience as evidenced by one (1) of the following MOS's: 91F, 91G or 91K. Possess a background in the 91 F/G/K series, 2111 Small Arms Repairer/Technician, 2112 Precision Weapons Repairer/Technician, Air Force Small Arms/Armorer Technician or Navy Gunners Mate or have completed a residential small arms repairman course or a residential Gunsmith course from an accredited institution.
  • Be able to perform Two Level Maintenance (Field Level Maintenance and Sustainment Level Maintenance) on small arms weapons to include shoulder fired weapons, handguns, machine guns, mortars, and towed artillery weapons.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in cyber range or computer test bed environments.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Program Management or SR level DoD experience or Defense Industry Civilian Professional working with SR level DoD personnel.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience conducting Army and Joint Cyber Training.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, evaluate, and lead Cyber training programs effectively.
  • Working knowledge of OT/IT technologies, cellular systems, networking, and IT management.
  • A NA/CI background check will be required for this position.
