SLP - Per Diem (Inpatient Rehab Department)
About The Position
Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is a full-service, non-profit Catholic hospital, sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy and a member of Trinity Health. This position is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the Inpatient Rehab Department on a per diem basis. Responsibilities include conducting thorough and efficient evaluations using appropriate tests and measurements, setting functional, realistic, and measurable goals that patients consistently achieve, designing treatment plans that reflect prescribed therapy and incorporate reimbursement issues, and re-evaluating and discharging patients within appropriate time frames.
Requirements
- MA/MS degree in Speech/Language Pathology is required.
- Must currently hold, or be completing, Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Florida State licensure or temporary permit in State of Florida is required.
Responsibilities
- Evaluations are conducted with thoroughness and efficiency, including appropriate tests and measurements.
- Sets functional, realistic and measurable goals and the patient demonstrates consistent achievement of those goals.
- Designs a functional treatment plan that is reflective of prescribed therapy and incorporates applicable reimbursement issues.
- Re-evaluates and discharges patients within appropriate time frames.
