About The Position

The Slots Technician is responsible for the adjustment, repair, testing, and maintenance of slot machines and other electronic devices within the casino. This role involves ensuring all gaming machines comply with Colorado Department of Gaming Regulations, managing inventory of surplus monitors and parts, and participating in the programming and repair of progressive gaming displays. The technician is also expected to provide excellent service to both internal and external guests.

Requirements

  • A Colorado Division of Gaming Support license is required for this position.
  • Must be able to obtain and hold a CO Gaming License.
  • TIPs certification
  • High School diploma general education (GED).
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to exercise initiative and a sense of urgency.
  • Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
  • Must have an outgoing personality and enjoy dealing with people.
  • Strong tactical skills.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all employees and guests.
  • Able to work all shifts to include weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous money handling and guest service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to practice Genuine Service for internal and external guests.
  • Adjust and repair machines, replacing worn or defective electrical or mechanical parts using hand tools.
  • Ensure an adequate amount of surplus monitors and parts are in inventory.
  • Tests, bench repairs, and evaluates slot machine monitors.
  • Maintain other casino electronic devices.
  • Examine defective machines to determine causes of malfunctions.
  • Conduct general maintenance and/or service on all machines and equipment.
  • Conduct daily inspections of gaming machines.
  • Participate in programming or repair of progressive gaming and other electronic displays.
  • Ensure all slot machines are in working order per Colorado Department of Gaming Regulations.
