About The Position

The Slot Technician I is responsible for performing a wide variety of diagnoses and repairs of slot machines, with infrequent assistance. This role possesses extensive knowledge of both mechanical and electronic aspects of slot machine repair and provides training or assistance to less experienced technicians. The Slot Technician I will analyze and respond to a variety of customer service-related issues. Technicians are responsible for the repair and maintenance of component-level electronic circuitry in gaming devices, as well as the installation and removal of gaming devices. This role performs day-to-day preventative maintenance, troubleshoots ticket-in ticket-out and coin machines, performs hopper tests, and clears coin jams and bill validator jams. They assist in game conversions and firmware upgrades, investigate and verify any ticket issues, and maintain an inventory of supplies needed to perform the job function. The role also involves maintaining and calibrating currency validators, executing machine moves, game conversions, installations, and floor upgrades of current ticket-in ticket out products. The Slot Technician is responsible for investigating device malfunctions of various gaming devices and clearing coin bill and coin jams. They perform the day-to-day repair and preventative maintenance of all slot machines and other duties as deemed necessary by Management. The role requires performing work regularly, predictably, and in a professional manner, as well as cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces, and adhering to all Illinois Gaming Regulations. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Electronic background or minimum two years’ experience in slot operations.
  • Two (2) or more years’ experience in the Gaming Industry or an equivalent customer service environment.
  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Commission.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
  • Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of Team Leadership and motivational skills.
  • Knowledge of Electronics at circuit board level.
  • Knowledge of Technical experience and training with slots.
  • Knowledge of Electronic and computer programming.
  • Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience.
