About The Position

The Slot Technician III is responsible for performing a wide variety of diagnoses and repairs of slot machines, with infrequent assistance. This role possesses extensive knowledge of both mechanical and electronic aspects of slot machine repair and provides training or assistance to lesser experienced technicians. The Slot Technician III ensures the overall smooth operation of all slot related equipment and keeps slot machines and associated parts in working order. This position also safeguards all property assets in the slot department and follows all Internal and Virginia Lottery rules and laws. The role requires the ability to interact with guests to enhance guest relations and maintain a strong working knowledge of slot related machinery. Additionally, the Slot Technician III is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces.

Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have good communications skills.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Must have two (2) or more years’ experience in a Slot Technician capacity.
  • Must have minimum three-year experience electronic background.
  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Virginia lottery.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of Team Leadership and motivational skills.
  • Knowledge of Electronics at the circuit board level.
  • Knowledge of Technical experience and training with slots.
  • Knowledge of Electronic and computer programming.
  • Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience.
  • Ability to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.
  • Ability to present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Assumes responsibilities of Supervisor Slot Manager in the supervisor’s absence as assigned.
  • Helps coordinate and lead slot floor moves and shift assignments.
  • Has the ability to coordinate Special Projects as assigned.
  • Ensures the overall smooth operation of all slot related equipment.
  • Keeps slot machines and associated parts in working order.
  • Able to perform specialty skilled roles as assigned, i.e. Electronic Technician (Bench Technician), BV Technician, Parts Technician, etc.
  • Safeguards all property assets in the slot department.
  • Follows all Internal and Virginia Lottery rules and laws.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests to enhance guest relations.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of slot related machinery.
  • Perform work regularly, predictably and in a professional manner.
  • Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Perform work regularly and adheres to all Virginia Lottery Regulations.
