About The Position

The 2nd Screen Slot Lead Tech is responsible for the repair and maintenance of slot machines and other equipment used within the Slot Department. This role also involves assisting with record-keeping, inventory management, and overseeing the work of other slot technicians. The position requires a strong understanding of electronic and electrical systems, as well as computer applications. The employee must maintain confidentiality, demonstrate professionalism, and adhere to company policies and training requirements.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of computer applications including word processing, databases and/or data entry, spreadsheets and Microsoft Outlook is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required.
  • Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
  • Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved.
  • Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation’s Personnel Policies.
  • Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks.
  • Standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, twisting, and turning is required.
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions, including work in a smoking environment.
  • Repetitiously lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds is required.
  • Excellent dexterity is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Slot Technician experience or Completion of an electronics gaming or amusement technical training course preferred.
  • Demonstrated skill in the repair of electronic equipment.
  • Knowledge of test equipment and tools.
  • Knowledge of electronic and electrical systems.
  • Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the repair and maintenance of slot machines and other equipment used within the Slot Department in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for assisting in the maintenance of records relating to the installation, removal, replacement, relocation and repair of slot machines.
  • Assists in keeping an orderly inventory of Slot parts and records of inventory in stock, purchased and used within the department.
  • As directed by the Slot Technician Supervisor, oversees the work and direction of the slot technicians.
  • Ensures the slot machines are kept in good working order.
  • Replaces parts as needed.
  • Cleans Slot machines as needed.
  • Investigates slot variances to identify and correct all possible causes for reported variances.
  • Repairs Slot parts and equipment that is used in the slot department.
  • Inspects all new machines & conversions kits prior to installation onto the gaming floor.
  • Installs, relocates, modifies or removes Slot machines from floor as necessary (machine and equipment weight is approximately 150 to 350 pounds and are removed with the aid of a hydraulic lift or dolly).
  • Maintains documentation of parts used in repairing slot machines.
  • Safeguards all assets under his or her control.
  • Must become knowledgeable of the slot accounting system.
  • Department uniform is required and provided to the employee, which must be worn during the scheduled work hours unless prior arrangements have been made with management.
  • Must attend all mandatory department training.
  • Must attend all required Title 31 and/or SAR training.
  • Ability to obtain a gaming identification badge to work in and around Casino property and facilities.
  • Ensures confidentiality of financial records and all that pertains to the slot machines records for employees, band members and/or clients.
  • Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems.
  • Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers.
  • Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community.
  • Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.
  • Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
