About The Position

The Lead Teacher, in addition to teaching a full schedule, provides instructional leadership in coordination with the School Leader for their assigned school. It is anticipated that this role will require up to 200 hours annually of time outside of normal contracted hours.

Requirements

Must be an experienced Lighthouse high school teacher (3+ years of teaching) with annual evaluation scores of a 3 or higher.

Responsibilities

Assist with Epicenter compliance
Assist with creation of the PA45
Meet regularly with truancy BI to ensure district policy is being followed
Do home visits, as needed
Assist in creating agendas
Create sign in sheets
Assist in planning content
Assist in facilitating the meeting
IEP attendance (backup to Angela G and/or school leader)
Assist with other teachers
Assist with support staff
Plan/calendar out # of walk throughs, reading, math, SIOP, and restorative practices
Sit in on Student Success Plan meetings
Decide discipline; sign letters as applicable
Board monthly summary
MICIP data (as assigned by Heidi)
Application to IES for DPPD SCECHs (in coor. with Lucas)
Check gradebooks to assure teachers keeping up on grading
Assist in updating elementary and secondary handbooks
Trimester class schedules (coor. with st. adv.)
Lead safety team
PBIS meetings
Child study
Assist with Title 1 diagnostic, compact, parent engagement docs
Assist with graduation
Assist with Back-to-school Orientation / Open House
Assist with AERs
Ensure compliance with water filtration plan and filter changes
Ensure staff maintain safe serve certification and other professional certifications
Ensure staff complete required annual trainings
