About The Position

The Slot Floorperson is responsible for ensuring a positive guest experience by responding to machine issues, assisting guests with the players club, and processing jackpots. This role requires a strong understanding of gaming regulations and company policies, as well as the ability to perform minor machine repairs and maintain a clean work environment. The position demands excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • General working knowledge of Slot Department operations.
  • Must project a professional and positive image.
  • High energy level.
  • Good judgment and common sense.
  • Ability to deal with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work all shifts to include weekends and holidays also work 6-day work weeks when required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written).
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all Hard Rockers and guests.
  • Ability to understand and promulgate written memos, instructions, regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of mathematics.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Responsibilities

  • Knows and abides by Hard Rock's policies, procedures, internal controls, and courtesy guidelines.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with state gaming regulations.
  • Quickly answers illuminated candle lights on slot machines.
  • Enrolls new guests in the Encore players club.
  • Maintains and continually updates knowledge of regulations set forth by the Mississippi Gaming Commission and the Mississippi State Tax Commission regarding attendant regulations.
  • Verifies and pays Hand Pay Jackpots according to jackpot payout policies and procedures.
  • Safeguards company assets assigned.
  • Completes W2G Form for taxable Jackpots.
  • Makes minor repairs on slot machines.
  • Maintains knowledge of property information & memorabilia.
  • Maintains cleanliness of assigned work area.
  • Ensures making cards for guests as outlined by departmental performance standards.
