About The Position

This role is responsible for providing superior customer service, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs) and their peripherals. The technician will also be involved in network and communication installations, server-based gaming equipment setup, and ensuring all equipment operates within safety standards. Additionally, the role requires meticulous documentation, handling customer disputes, and maintaining the integrity of secure information.

Requirements

  • Understanding of pay tables, features, and programmable functions of Electronic Gaming Machines.
  • Ability to program and repair to board level all peripheral equipment used in all EGM’s.
  • Ability to install, test, and repair all fiber optic and network equipment proficiently.
  • Ability to perform precision soldering techniques on through-hole and surface mount components.
  • Proficiency in filling out all documentation to support Electronic Gaming Machines operations in accordance with policies and regulations.
  • Ability to test and document variances in slot accounting and transactions.
  • Ability to handle disputes and notify proper personnel of unusual customer activity, including Title 31 procedures.
  • Knowledge of shop equipment operation, including hand tools, soldering/desoldering stations, power tools, and electronic test equipment.
  • Knowledge of parts for keeping track of spare parts and properly replacing parts with the correct type and versions.
  • Ability to maintain integrity of secure locks, keys, codes, and passwords.
  • Ability to install, move, and uninstall Electronic Gaming Machines, signs, controllers, network equipment, lighting, power filters, and other electronic or electrical equipment.
  • Must understand and follow Minimum Internal Control Standards adopted by the Hannahville Indian Community Gaming Commission.
  • Must understand electrical and electronic standards such as IEEE, AIE, and ANSI.

  • Experience in leading fellow Technicians, Shift and Floor Supervisors.
  • Experience in installing, maintaining, terminating, and splicing fiber optic and wired communications following AIE or IEEE standards.
  • Experience in maintaining a record of all network information to include IP, locations and VLAN settings.
  • Experience in installing and maintaining Server Based Gaming equipment, progressive equipment, lighting equipment and media equipment.
  • Experience in assisting Shift and Floor Supervisors with Jackpot Verifications, ticket fills, verify payouts as needed and assist with disputes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Lead fellow Technicians, Shift and Floor Supervisors to address problems with Electronic Gaming Machines.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and implement preventative maintenance for all Electronic Gaming Machines peripherals and equipment.
  • Maintain and repair signage, lamps, ballasts, controllers, and media devices.
  • Install, maintain, terminate, and splice fiber optic and wired communications following AIE or IEEE standards.
  • Maintain a record of all network information, including IP, locations, and VLAN settings.
  • Install and maintain all communications to electronic gaming machines and peripheral equipment following manufacturer's technical standards.
  • Install and maintain Server Based Gaming equipment, progressive equipment, lighting equipment, and media equipment.
  • Ensure all Electronic Gaming Machines, network equipment, signs, and other equipment are powered correctly and do not exceed UL or ANSI standards.
  • Program and repair to board level all peripheral equipment used in all EGMs.
  • Install, test, and repair all fiber optic and network equipment proficiently.
  • Perform precision soldering techniques on through-hole and surface mount components.
  • Properly fill out all documentation to support Electronic Gaming Machines operations in accordance with policies and regulations.
  • Test and document variances in slot accounting and transactions.

  • Provide safe and effective operation of shop equipment.

  • Attend pertinent training seminars and conferences where travel is required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Slot Repair Manager and/or Slot Director.
  • Understand and follow Minimum Internal Control Standards adopted by the Hannahville Indian Community Gaming Commission.
  • Understand electrical and electronic standards such as IEEE, AIE, and ANSI.
