About The Position

This position is responsible for performing the day-to-day operations and activities in the Slot Department or within a section or area of the Slot Department for the casino operations located inside Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.

Requirements

  • Current, legal, and unrestricted ability to work in the United States
  • High school or equivalent education required
  • One year of experience in a retail or other guest contact position; Slot Attendant experience preferred
  • Must possess keyboard/keypad data entry skills, basic mathematical skills and a functional ability to read, write and understand English
  • Demonstrate capacity to learn multiple facets of slot operations.
  • Understanding of gaming regulations related to slot operations
  • Basic knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Ability to identify areas on the gaming floor by slot zone
  • Ability to operate a two-way radio and other electronic equipment

  • Comprehensive understanding of gaming regulations related to slot operations
  • Knowledge in the operation of all slot machines and support technology currently in use
  • Familiar with property amenities and marketing promotions and ability to communicate those offerings to guests

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the assigned area(s) are neat, clean and accommodating for casino guests
  • Safeguard against theft and ensure the security and integrity of all casino funds and property assets within the Slot Department
  • Perform Slot Department regulation compliance procedures within the department based on departmental and State of Nevada gaming policies and internal control standards
  • Be aware of and communicate with guests and coworkers about matters including all special events functions, entertainment, restaurant schedules, etc.
  • Perform inter-department projects as directed
  • Maintain clear lines of communication with all support and related departments including but not limited to Cage, Security, Surveillance, EVS, Engineering and other casino departments
  • Maintain control and accountability for assigned keys
  • Execute all departmental, State and IRS gaming related policies, procedures and Currency Transaction Reporting requirements
  • Communicate to supervisory personnel daily activities performed on an assigned shift
  • Review new slot gaming devices with vendors and coworkers; maintain awareness of state-of-the-art technology as it relates to the games installed and operating in the casino
  • Follow standard procedures and training to be alert for guests who may experience excessive alcohol consumption and/or who must demonstrate age-appropriateness to be present in the casino
  • Keep abreast of new technology pertaining to the Slot Department
  • Maintain awareness of accurate hand-pays as designated by company policy pertaining to slot guests
  • Maintain seating available in a neat and orderly fashion for slot guests
  • Other duties as assigned
