About The Position

The Slot Attendant is responsible for building guest relations, observing activity on the casino floor, identifying and correcting slot machine malfunctions, accurately paying jackpots and other monetary transactions, and maintaining monetary and paperwork accuracy. This role also involves completing government reporting, understanding guest alcohol limitations, keeping the work area clean, adhering to company policies, and handling guest complaints. The position requires a flexible schedule, including late nights, weekends, and holidays, with potential for shift changes. The work environment is primarily indoors with controlled temperatures, occasional exposure to outdoor climates, and involves various physical activities.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including late nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts may change.
  • Speech and Vision abilities are required.

Responsibilities

  • Build guest relations throughout every shift by talking with guests, making them feel welcome and comfortable, and inviting them back.
  • Observe all activity on casino floor.
  • Know the various types of slot machines and be able to identify major malfunctions and to correct minor machine malfunctions.
  • Accurately pay jackpots and other monetary transactions.
  • Maintain monetary and paperwork accuracy and efficiency within department/property standards.
  • Complete all government reporting.
  • Have knowledge of guest alcohol limitations and company policy and procedure regarding limitations.
  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and Company policies in an ethical manner and empower and require others to do the same.
  • Handle routine guest complaints and incidents and exhibit the appropriate discretion to identify situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel - seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or reasonably requested by any member of management.
