About The Position

The Slot Attendant is responsible for assisting customers with machine issues such as jams, jackpot payouts, and machine fills. This role also involves educating customers on how to read slot machine pay tables, providing change, and assisting with bill validation. The attendant will offer customer service to all patrons, maintain positive working relationships with customers and team members, and perform all duties in compliance with Colorado Gaming ICMP's and other applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of casino operations, Colorado gaming rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of slot machine games and basic operations.
  • Working knowledge of jackpot payouts and machine fill procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience receiving, securing, handling, counting, reconciling, and distributing large sums of money.
  • Demonstrated effective and diplomatic customer service and communication skills, including contacts with employees and customers.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of recent and related electronic experience.
  • Demonstrated ability performing basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral communication skills using English.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or picture form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety procedures and using safety equipment.
  • Handle jackpot payouts, verifying machine information according to gaming regulations.
  • Process all slot machine fills in accordance with gaming regulations.
  • Record necessary information (meters, signature, license number) on jackpot payout and machine fill slips.
  • Document entries in the Slot Machine Access Log each time a slot machine door is opened.
  • Assist customers with machine jams as per departmental guidelines.
  • Explain slot machine pay tables to customers.
  • Provide change and assist customers in obtaining valid bills for bill validators.
  • Act as a second verifier for change staff in reconciling banks at the beginning and end of shifts.
  • Accurately and promptly handle, count, reconcile, and distribute large sums of money.
  • Provide customer service through various activities.
  • Perform responsibilities in compliance with Colorado Gaming ICMP's.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships and good customer service skills.
  • Maintain alertness and general awareness of casino operations, informing supervisors of concerns.
  • Comply with established security policies and procedures, reporting concerns to supervisors or security.
  • Serve as a backup to casino staff when necessary.
  • Perform other duties, including special projects, as needed.
  • Safeguard slot machines by maintaining the slot repair cart, inventories, and secure key controls, ensuring machines are secure and locked.
  • Verify transactions for other slot floor personnel as required.
  • Ensure no person under twenty-one (21) is gambling, drinking, or lingering in a gaming area, including underage and off-duty employees, by checking IDs for anyone who appears under thirty-five (35).
