About The Position

The Slot Attendant is responsible for providing guest service on the slot gaming floor, paying out jackpots, and maintaining player terminals. This role requires working with regulatory agencies, ensuring policies and procedures are followed, and adhering to the Mistequa Casino Hotel Team Member Handbook and SMILE service standards. The attendant must maintain a positive attitude, repair and maintain video player terminals, identify and solve problems on the slot floor, assist guests by walking the gaming area and pushing in chairs, maintain cleanliness of the gaming area, prepare W-2G forms for jackpots, pay jackpots to guests, ensure terminals are filled with tickets for continuous operation, perform delegated office work, assist in maintaining gaming floor security, stay up-to-date on promotions and events, communicate this information to guests, prompt new guests to sign up for the players club, and attend departmental meetings. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age
Excellent guest service skills
Ability to work independently and use good judgment
Must be able to multi-task
Must be 18 years of age to obtain and maintain a License B with Spokane Tribal Gaming Commission

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred
Electronics experience preferred

Working with all regulatory agencies, i.e., Gaming Commission, State, and Federal
Learning and ensuring policies and procedures are followed per the departments' Internal Controls
Adhering to the Mistequa Casino Hotel Team Member Handbook
Adhering to SMILE service standards and Core Values by providing excellent guest service
Maintaining a positive and productive attitude with guests as well as fellow team members
Repairing and maintaining of Video player terminals
Proactively identifying problems and solutions concerning issues on the slot floor and following up with the Slot Manager
Constantly walking the gaming area to assist guest needs, pushing in chairs to provide clear pathways for guests
Maintaining cleanliness of the gaming area by helping housekeeping
Preparing W-2G for jackpots and giving to the Cage to process
Paying jackpots to guest
Ensuring video player terminal is filled with tickets in a timely manner, so as to keep machines in constant operation
Performing delegated office work
Assisting in maintaining gaming floor security by notifying Management and Security of suspicious activity
Staying up to date on current promotions and events
Communicating promotion and event information and instructions to guests
Prompting new guests to sign onto our players club
Facilitating the flow of information by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings
Working shift work, holidays, weekends, and special events
Performing additional duties as assigned
Communicating effectively with all levels of team members and guests
Working effectively in a fast-paced environment
Moving around all work areas effectively and efficiently
Working periodically under conditions of extreme urgency (creating higher levels of job stress)
Obtaining and maintaining a License B with Spokane Tribal Gaming Commission
Attending required training sessions offered by the Casinos
Performing duties in compliance with local laws and regulations
Ensuring minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco
Having knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team members department
Consulting Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance
Reporting illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management
Submitting to a pre-employment drug test, and at random following employment
